is the girl fighting for girls' right to education in Pakistan. The Taliban in the Swat Valley in northern Pakistan imposed ban on schooling for girls. They thought she was too loud and made sure she would be silenced. She was shot in the head with several shots but survived amazingly enough. She was fifteen years old. After the attack her condition was critical. She was flown to England for medical care and recovered. Sixteen years old, she was awarded the Sakharov Prize. This year she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, only seventeen years old, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner ever. She continues to work for every child's right to education and discrimination against girls. She is now world famous and has got a great influence and a large cash prize, which she can use in her work. She is truly a hero who helps other children to a better life and to less discrimination against girls in Pakistan. The Taliban's attempt to silence her failed.
